With both front and rear disc brakes, TVS Apache RTR 180 comes up with anti-locking braking system. This Apache RTR 180 bike weighs 140 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 12 liters.

TVS has updated the Apache RTR 180 to comply with the newest emission norms. The BS6 version of the sporty commuter is available in a single variant and it is priced at Rs 1,01,450 (ex-showroom Delhi).

The latest iteration of the motorcycle retains the styling of its predecessor and thus comes equipped with a halogen headlight with LED pilot lamps, an LED taillight, semi-digital instrument cluster and a muscular design. The colour options, too, are identical to the BS4 model, and the Apache RTR 160 BS6 is available in Pearl White, Matte Blue, Gloss Black and T Grey shades.

The BS6 upgrade has added to the weight, and the 2020 model tips the weighing scale at 141kg (vs 139kg). The dimensions such as length (2,085mm), width (730mm) and height (1,105mm) remain identical to the BS4 model. The wheelbase and the ground clearance, on the other hand, are different than its predecessor. The BS6 version features a wheelbase of 1,300mm (as against 1,326mm) and a ground clearance of 170mm (as against 165mm).

The mechanical details, on the other hand, have received noticeable changes. The 177.4cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine gets a fuel injection system, and it now produces 16.5bhp of peak power at 8,500rpm and 15.5Nm of maximum torque at 7,000rpm. The company has added the Glide Through Technology (GTT) to the BS6 iteration of the motorcycle. The GTT system aims to eliminate engine stalling.

Hardware specifications continue to include telescopic forks at the front and gas-filled twin springs at the back to handle the shock absorption duties. Stopping power comes from a 270mm petal-type disc at the front and a 200mm petal-type rotor at the back. The safety net of single-channel ABS comes as standard.
